Evergreen Brick Works: Call for Volunteer Photographers

Evergreen Brick Works: Call for Volunteer Photographers

Evergreen is looking for new volunteer photographers to join our team and help capture the essence of what we do through photos of people, activities, and events. A volunteer photographer will be capturing images of the innovative and engaging work Evergreen does, mainly at Evergreen Brick Works but occasionally across the GTA. This is a great opportunity for all kinds of photographers to amp up their portfolio, meet like-minded people and connect with their community in a unique way.

For more information about this role and how to apply, please see the Evergreen Volunteer Page

VOLUNTEERS WANTED for April/May 2017 – Will Be Noted on Co-curricular Record

Attention fellow U of T students/photography lovers!

I am looking for volunteers to assist in the creation and execution of a photography exhibit in downtown Toronto, which will take place at Hart House on June 1st. This will be a community engaged initiative in partnership with Dowling Community Service Residence. The Dowling Residence is a transitional home for men who have experienced mental illness and extreme poverty. The goal of this project is to encourage these men to express themselves artistically through photography.

Options for volunteer roles include:

·       Assisting the residents with taking photographs (3 hours one day in April or May)

·       Helping to print black & white photographs in the darkroom at Hart House and prepare matting for the frames (approx. 3 hours x 2 days)

·       Setting up for and hosting the photography exhibit (3 hours on June 1st)

This will be a fun and interesting project; one that can be included on a CV and will be counted as part of your co-curricular record.
